Linkia Needs A Little Sunshine

There a twist in the Linkia set-up that needs a little sunshine. We have a very similar problem here in Michigan with Wright & Filippis and DMEnsion (formerly ABP Administration) that has caused me to think about what is happening here.

This type of claim management contract is great for the corporations bottom line but that extra profit comes out of the pockets of their practicitioners. What the corporations have done is transfer any profit that might be made in the delivery of service from their clinical division to their administrative division. This is done by lowering the reimbursement paid to the clinical division for the services and retaining the margin in the fees paid to the claim administration division. This allows the corporation to make increased profits while cutting sales bonuses to their staff and crying poor and pointing to dropping office sales when it comes time
for raises.

If I was a Hanger employee I certainly would not be enthusiastic about Linkia signing up more subscribers.
